AliExpress and Banggood are selling RedmiBook Pro 14 at really outrageous prices

It was only recently that Xiaomi has launched the RedmiBook Pro 14, but e-commerce giants such as AliExpress and Banggood, have already started taking orders for the new notebook.

According to sources, the retailers are selling the laptop at far higher prices than Xiaomi is in China. AliExpress is more price-competitive than Banggood, although the RedmiBook Pro 14 still costs at least US$999.99 on AliExpress. But for that price, you will only get an Intel Core i5-1135G7 and no dedicated GPU.

For a GPU you will have to pay US$1,129.99 on AliExpress, or US$1,259.99 for a dedicated GPU and a Core i7-1165G7 processor. Seriously the prices way high up in the sky.

When Xiaomi launched the Notebook, it stated that the prices will be around CNY 4,449 (~US$728), or CNY 6,299 (~US$976) for the 15-inch model. So we expected the 14-inch model to have relatively less prices.

Well, the prices are not much good on Banggood either. The RedmiBook Pro 14 starts at US$1,049.99 and rises to US$1,299.99 for the Core i7 and NVIDIA GPU.

The device comes with some good specifications, as it has an aluminium alloy chassis, a 16:10 aspect ratio display, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. It also comes with a 2,560 x 1,600 pixels display and supports 100% of the sRGB color space.

According to Xiaomi, it has up to 15 hours of battery life between charges, but it comes with a 56 Wh battery.

Xiaomi does not sell its Mi or Redmi laptops in Europe, the UK, or the US. Hence, third-party retailers like AliExpress and Banggood may be the only viable options for the RedmiBook Pro 14 and, by extension, the RedmiBook Pro 15. But the prices are outrageous.
