Alexis Sanchez will leave Inter Milan at the end of the season as a free agent, upon the expiry of his contract. The Chilean returned to the Nerazzurri at the start of the season after a brief spell with Marseille, and will now try a new challenge once more.
His role has primarily been from the bench this time, with Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram forming the first choice striker partnership for Simeone Inzaghi. However, he has still contributed significantly, scoring and assisting four goals each in 30 appearances across all competitions.

Winning the Serie A title was perhaps the best sendoff the 35-year-old could have asked for. After a resurgence with the Nerazzurri right after his spell with Manchester United, Sanchez returned for another year.
Now, it remains to be seen whether he will remain in Europe or if he’ll try a league in a new continent such as the MLS or the Saudi Pro League.
Inter, on the other hand, already have a replacement lined up in the form of Porto’s Mehdi Taremi. The Iranian has agreed a two-year contract with the club and will join them as a free agent in the summer, at the end of the season.
