Alexis Sanchez is set to terminate his contract with Inter Milan in the coming hours. The Chilean has one year remaining on his deal with the club. But, he wants to move on from the side before the end of the transfer window. And now, it is only a matter of time before he is released.

The forward was signed from Manchester United in 2019 on a loan deal. And a year later, he joined the club permanently on a free transfer. But now, he is expected to move on to a new challenge with Marseille being the most likely destination for him.

The 33-year-old won the Serie A title with Inter after one year with them. And this past season, he won the Coppa Italia trophy. After Arturo Vidal left the club to move back to South America, Sanchez is set to follow his compatriot. But, he will be staying in Europe.

Alexis Sanchez has earned 146 caps for the national team, and has scored 48 goals. A verbal agreement is in place with Marseille for a contract until 2024. The medical will be completed soon, once the termination has been made official.

Marseille have already had a remarkable transfer window ahead of the new season, and will now be adding a valuable, experienced forward to their line-up.
