“I want to keep all the good moments I had in the club, because for me it was just a pleasure to play for a club that, since I was young, I dreamt of,” Alexandre Lacazette recently told the Arsenal website.

“I’m really happy to have played for five years for Arsenal.”

He added: “I’ll keep in contact with my team-mates, with the coaches, with the club.

“I supported Arsenal since I was young, so obviously I’m going to keep supporting them. I know I will come back to the stadium as well.”

Lacazette captained Arsenal for the last few months of the season, after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was stripped off his captaincy for disciplinary reasons. And now, alongside his former teammate, he has left the Emirates Stadium as well.

[Gabriel Jesus is expected to be the replacement](https://dailycannon.com/2022/06/gabriel-jesus/amp/) for the Frenchman, with the club in talks with Manchester City to sign the Brazilian.
