There is a piece of good news for every fan of Money Heist, the creator Alex Pina is now all set for his upcoming series which is based on the pandemic. Although the series money heist is not coming back. The series is going to release on Netflix, as Alex Pina is creating the series we can expect another thrilling show for sure.
The Spanish drama Money Heist has its perfect finale with its fifth season in the month of December in the last year. Alex Pina’s brainchild has run almost for more than four years and still, now the fans are asking for more although it ended.
As per the report of THR, the untitled series is going to be set in a luxury underground bunker that has been specially designed to survive a pandemic. It’s where “the country’s one percent retreat to escape catastrophe on the surface”. Alex Pina has got the inspiration for the plot of the series from a Spanish newspaper article that was released on 9th October 2021. It reads, “about rich Spaniards purchasing bunkers in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.”
Alex Pina has said, “Some of the new shelters that were being built were luxury homes in the subsoil… Up to 15 floors down, with exclusive services, such as cinema, pool, spa, gym, and common gardens, with water and food to survive more than five years. An underground community for 75 people. And then we thought about what life would be like there. Social, family and romantic relationships, in an underground shelter to which they had hastily and exclusively fled.”
Vancouver Media, the production banner of Alex Pina has also shared a snapshot of an article where he has announced his new project as “an apocalyptic high-concept”.
Meanwhile, Vancouver Media is also underdevelopment of the spin-off series of Money Heist named Berlin. The most popular and fan’s favorite character of the Money Heist was played by actor Pedro Alonso. The series is expected to revolve around the back-story before the events of Money Heist’s first robbery at the Royal Mint of Spain. Berlin is expected to debut on Netflix in 2023.
Netflix is also working on the Korean version of the Spanish drama Money Heist, starring Yoo Ji-tae, Park Hae-soo, Jeon Jong-seo, Lee Won-jong, and Park Myung-hoon. The streaming platform released its first look teaser in January. The show will premiere later this year.
