Aleksandar Mitrovic will be signing for Al Hilal, after an agreement with Fulham was reached for a €50 million transfer. The striker had already agreed personal terms for weeks with the Saudi Arabian club, and his signing has now been made official by the clubs.
The striker will be travelling to the Gulf State in the coming days to complete his medical tests for the transfer. The documents have also been checked for the move, and Fulham have confirmed that they have received a club record fee for the player.
Aleksandar Mitrovic to sign for Al Hilal in €50 million deal
The Fulham striker will be signing a contract until 2026, and becomes the latest player to join them this summer. They have already signed Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ruben Neves and Yassine Bono from Europe.
Al Hilal made headlines with their transfer of Neymar this past week. The Brazilian finally moved on from PSG, and joined them for a transfer fee in the region of €100 million.
Aleksandar Mitrovic was a talismanic figure for Fulham during their runs in the Premier League and Championship over the past few seasons. But now, the Serbian has moved on to enjoy a massive payday in the Middle East like many other European players this summer.
Fulham manager Marco Silva has confirmed that Mitrovic did everything he could to force the transfer to Al Hilal. He will be wearing the number 9 shirt at his new club, and this sets up the Blue side as the favourites to win the Saudi Pro League this time around.
