Al Nassr have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for the transfer of Sadio Mane. The Bavarians will receive a transfer fee worth €37 million for the Senegalese winger, close to what they paid Liverpool only a year ago for the player.
Mane wanted to stay and work things out in Munich after a disappointing 22/23 season with them. But, the club had other plans and wanted to move him on. Now, they have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player, who joins the growing list of European players to make the move to Saudi Arabia.
Sadio Mane to sign for Al Nassr after only one year with Bayern Munich
The player has agreed a three-year contract with Al Nassr after his agent, Björn Bezemer negotiated the deal in Japan. He will be travelling to Saudi Arabia to complete the medical tests and formalities for the move soon, and will then be announced as a new player for Al Nassr.
Mane will be joining Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana and Alex Telles at the club, as well as Cristiano Ronaldo. His fellow Senegal teammates Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy have also made the move to Saudi Arabia, alongside former Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino.
This past season, Sadio Mane made 25 Bundesliga appearances, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. And now, he will be moving on to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr to write a new chapter in his career.
