Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal have approached Joao Felix for a loan transfer this summer. The club has made a huge offer to Atletico Madrid to sign their forward, but the player is not willing to leave Europe at this stage of his career.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the player is guaranteed to not stay at Madrid for the coming season. His relationship with manager Diego Simeone has deteriorated significantly, which caused him to move to Chelsea for the second half of the 22/23 season. The Premier League club decided to not make his loan deal permanent in spite of an impressive individual spell with them.

The forward recently spoke out about his desire to join Barcelona, and how it was his dream to play for the club. But considering their financial condition right now, and the potential asking price that Atletico Madrid will demand, a move to Catalonia seems unlikely.

Felix seems to be in no man’s land, with a future at Atletico looking bleak. In spite of being their record signing, his time at the club has not worked out thus far. His number 7 shirt number has also been given to its former owner, Antoine Griezmann.

Al Hilal have already signed Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Kalidou Koulibaly as their summer targets. They have also made offers for Lionel Messi and Victor Osimhen which were both turned down. And now, their primary target seems to be Joao Felix, who is determined to not continue with the Rojiblancos.
