### Tom & Jerry — But Make It Bollywood

According to sources, Akshay Kumar has a dynamic role that will share a very Tom & Jerry-like equation with Ajay Devgn on screen, and he came on board instantly after Rohit Shetty narrated the script to him. This will mark the sixth film of Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn together, after *Suhaag*, *Khakee*, *Insan*, *Sooryavanshi*, and *Singham Again*. [Deadline](https://deadline.com/2026/03/box-office-global-hoppers-the-bride-1236746977/) But for the first time, they’ll clash head-on in a full-blown comedy — and that’s reason enough to get excited.

Akshay is expected to play the main antagonist opposite Ajay Devgn and his gang — a rare villainous turn for the actor, who last played such a role in Shankar’s sci-fi blockbuster *2.0* (2018).

### The Franchise That Never Gets Old

The [Golmaal franchise](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golmaal_(franchise)) is one of Bollywood’s highest-grossing comedy series, and Rohit Shetty has confirmed this fifth instalment is an **original story** — not a remake of any existing film.

The rest of the ensemble cast includes Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, and Mukesh Tiwari. That’s essentially a who’s who of Bollywood comedy royalty.
