It’s official: Akshay Kumar is stepping into the iconic shoes of Rajesh Khanna for the upcoming R.D. Burman biopic. Beyond talent, this casting is deeply personal—Akshay is Khanna’s son-in-law. Director Neeraj Pandey aims to capture genuine chemistry, with Farhan Akhtar starring as the legendary composer. Production kicks off this September, promising a nostalgic, cinematic tribute to Bollywood’s golden era.
