Another dominant day of Test cricket for #TeamIndia.

It was a day that is undoubtedly headlined by Captain @ajinkyarahane88, whose century (104* off 200) will go down as one of the best by an Indian captain on foreign soil.#TeamIndia 277/5 (Rahane 104*, Jadeja 40*) pic.twitter.com/zwuHWWHYjP

But Ajinkya took the whole show today. Indian skipper took the captaincy responsibility in the absence of Virat Kohli who is hoping for his first child soon. Rahane led from the front in the tough bouncy pitch of Australia. His performance was appreciated by the former players and the fans.

Virender Sehwag Tweeted, “Brilliant hundred by Ajinkya Rahane. Determination and class.”

Yuvraj Singh also praised the Indian skipper. Yuvi also praised Jadeja and Gill. He said, “A captains 100 solid, gritty and calm just like his personality Ajinkya Rahane sharp mind in field setting as well ! Jadeja looking great how good has he become batting lower down the order for India. Great start for Shubman Gill. We are looking good for a decent lead.”

India now have 82 runs lead in the first Innings and would hope to take a significant lead after a decent start.
