Crime Patrol: One of Indian television’s longest-running franchises is back, and this time it comes with genuine star power. Sony Entertainment Television has confirmed that Crime Patrol – Crime Ka Current Season premieres August 31, 2026, marking Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn’s first-ever foray into television hosting.

## A Familiar Show, A New Voice

Devgn steps into a role long associated with Anup Soni, though reports clarify he’ll feature as a special host rather than a permanent replacement. Sony has already confirmed 15 episodes have been shot, with Devgn’s commanding on-screen presence and narration built around guiding viewers through stories inspired by real crime cases that have shaken the nation.
