Ajay Devgn Set to Star in Multiple Sequels: Singham Again, Raid 2, Son of Sardaar 2, and More!

After the roaring success of Singham Again, Ajay Devgn is back as Bajirao Singham. Hot on the heels of this sequel, the actor is returning to even more of his old hits, which should at least provide fans with entertaining films to cross off their must-see list. The opening for Singham Again, which starred both Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar, also resulted in substantial worldwide earnings of ₹65 crore on the first day. In 2022, Ajay achieved success with Drishyam 2, the sequel to the 2015 film, which grossed over ₹200 crore in India.

Ajay Devgn will return as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, who mesmerised the audience with his performance in Raid (2018). Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor. Reprised from 1978’s “Kissa Kursi Ka”, which was based on the three-day, two-night income tax raid on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s, considered to have been the longest such raid in Indian history. While no details about the sequel’s plot have been disclosed, Raid 2 will be directed by Rajkumar Gupta, and it’s expected to hit the big screen in February 2025.

Son of Sardaar 2

Almost 12 years after it was released, Son of Sardaar (2012) is getting a sequel, with Ajay Devgn starring in another comedy movie. The sequel, which has already gone on floors in London in August, has Ravi Kishan replacing Sanjay Dutt. Dutt had earlier problems getting a UK visa for the shoot and actor Vijay Raaz who shot for a part of the film was later dropped after he was accused of being unprofessional while filming.

De De Pyaar De 2

With the sequel to the 2019 film, the cast will see the return of Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. While Tabu will not reprise her role, R. Madhavan will step in as the new face of the film’s cast. A sequel to the film, which followed a middle-aged guy falling in love with a younger woman and introducing her to his family, has already been announced, with director Anshul Sharma at the helm, and could hit theatres in 2025.
