Earlier this month, Reliance Jio introduced a prepaid plan that included a complimentary JioHotstar subscription. Now Airtel and Vodafone Idea have joined the party and introduced similar plans for their subscribers.
These are pure data bundles which means users should have an active base plan to avail the benefits. These plans are already live on the official websites of the telecom operators. September State, in context, has been launched JioHotstar last month itself, after the merger of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar.

Airtel, Vi Unveil New Data-Only Prepaid Plans With JioHotstar Mobile Subscription: Price, Benefits & More
Airtel has introduced two new data packs, both of which come bundled with JioHotstar. The first plan is worth ₹100 and offers a total of 5GB of data, and also comes with a JioHotstar Mobile subscription, valid for 30 days. The second plan, which costs ₹195, comes with a total data of 15GB along with a JioHotstar Mobile subscription for 90 days. If users exceed the allocated data, they will be charged ₹0.50 per MB.
Vodafone Idea has also introduced a similar ₹101 data pack that offers 5GB of total data and is valid for 30 days. Vi, on the other hand, provides JioHotstar Mobile access for a period of 90 days, just like Jio. Vi also has ₹151 and ₹169 plans which provide 4GB and 8GB of data respectively. As part of this, both are valid for 30 days & come with a 90-day JioHotstar subscription. At the same time, Reliance Jio’s base plan is valid for 90 days but internet speeds slow down after crossing the data limit.
In addition to these data packs, Jio, Airtel, and Vi also have a host of prepaid plans with OTT subscriptions of varying types. For those unaware, the JioHotstar Mobile plan costs ₹149 per month or ₹499 annually. It allows streaming in 720p resolution and is limited to smartphone use. With these new plans, Airtel and Vi are competing directly with Jio, giving users more choices for affordable data and entertainment bundles.
