Airtel has today announced an increase in mobile tariffs w.e.f 3rd July. In order to maintain financial health and to be able to invest in network technology, spectrum, etc., the company said maintaining an Average Revenue per User (ARPU) over ₹300 is important. The daily price increase of less than 70 paise per day is marginal, more so for initial rate plans to mitigate the impact on consumer budgets.

Airtel

The prices of both Reliance Jio prepaid and postpaid plans have been hiked just like Airtel with effect from July 3. The new tariffs from Airtel also see slight price hikes, so as to not bear a heavy toll on consumers’ budgets. Below is the breakdown of the new prepaid lines and postpaid plans:

  • ₹199 Plan: Previously ₹179, now ₹199. Includes 2GB data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day for 28 days.
  • ₹509 Plan: Previously ₹455, now ₹509. Offers 6GB data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day for 84 days.
  • ₹1999 Plan: Previously ₹1799, now ₹1999. Includes 24GB data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day for 365 days.
  • ₹299 Plan: Previously ₹265, now ₹299. Offers 1GB data/day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day for 28 days.
  • ₹349 Plan: Previously ₹299, now ₹349. Includes 1.5GB data/day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day for 28 days.
  • ₹409 Plan: Previously ₹359, now ₹409. Offers 2.5GB data/day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day for 28 days.
  • ₹449 Plan: Previously ₹399, now ₹449. Includes 3GB data/day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day for 28 days.
  • ₹579 Plan: Previously ₹479, now ₹579. Offers 1.5GB data/day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day for 56 days.
  • ₹649 Plan: Previously ₹549, now ₹649. Includes 2GB data/day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS/day for 56 days.

Postpaid Plans

  • ₹449 Plan: Includes 40GB data with rollover, unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, and Xstream Premium subscription.
  • ₹549 Plan: Offers 75GB data with rollover, unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, Xstream Premium, Disney+Hotstar for 12 months, and Amazon Prime for 6 months.
  • ₹699 Plan: For families, includes 105GB data with rollover, unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, Xstream Premium, Disney+Hotstar for 12 months, Amazon Prime for 6 months, and Wynk Premium for 2 connections.
  • ₹999 Plan: For larger families, includes 190GB data with rollover, unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, Xstream Premium, Disney+Hotstar for 12 months, and Amazon Prime for 4 connections.

The new tariffs have been levied on all circles, including Bharti Hexacom Ltd., and will be available for Airtel users from July 3rd, 2024 days after the launch.
