The AIFF Players’ Status Committee has given their verdict on Anwar Ali’s loan termination case, following the hearing on August 2. The PSC has filed that Ali’s Mohun Bagan SG loan termination lacked a just cause.

As a result, the Mariners’ recourse has been limited to seeking damages and penalties outlined in the relevant regulations. They have also requested Ali and MBSG to submit a response latest by August 8 regarding arguments about the compensation.

The PSC has also asked the affected parties, i.e. Delhi FC and East Bengal FC to submit a written response about the matter.

After hearing all the replies, the Committee will decide on the next date of the hearing to sort out the issue.

As part of their statement, the PSC also acknowledged Anwar Ali’s plea for immediate relief given his livelihood is at stake. The Committee ordered the AIFF Players’ Status Department to approve a request for his transfer. However, any move would be subject to the order given in the next hearing.

Will EB and Delhi FC face a transfer ban?

They could face a ban of up to two transfer windows, if they are found of having indulged in an illegal transfer.
