At the meeting in Hyderabad on September 10, the AIFF executive committee accepted the proposal from the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association for the training camp.

High altitude training has various benefits, including but not limited to higher lung capacity, increased oxygen delivery, higher lactic acid threshold and a higher threshold of performance.

As a result, it would allow the Indian team to overcome their physical shortcomings at major tournaments, as has been evident when playing against foreign teams. However, it remains to be seen how often the camp is accessed and whether it makes a significant difference in the national team’s progress.
