Samsung and Airbus deal an agreement for 400,000 robust Galaxy devices

The French Ministry of Interior and Overseas Territories’ personnel will be able to use 400,000 durable Galaxy devices thanks to a partnership between Samsung and Airbus. The smartphones and tablets chosen were the Galaxy XCover6 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active3, which are particularly well-suited for the requirements of the national police, fire agencies, and civic security.

The collaboration is a part of the Radio Network of the Future project, which is being overseen by the French Ministry (RRF – Reseau Radio du Futur).

Samsung and Airbus

A partnership between Airbus and Capgemini will roll out the integration in the next years with the goal of modernizing communication among domestic security forces and transitioning from narrowband to 4G and 5G networks.

According to Samsung’s KC Choi, EVP and Head of Global Mobile B2B Team, MX Business, the decision to partner with the Korean firm is an honour, and his team is “eager to see the ruggedized devices become a part of important projects.”

Samsung and Airbus

Eric Davalo, Director of Sales & Programs Europe at Airbus, noted that security is a “very demanding profession” and Samsung has established itself as a partner by providing cutting-edge technology that is perfectly suited to the crucial interventions of security and rescue services.

Both the Galaxy XCover6 Pro and the Galaxy Tab Active3 are MIL-STD-810H compliant, indicating that they are both extremely tough. The Samsung Knox security solution, which adds an extra layer of protection to the hardware and software from the core up, is another consideration in addition to concerns about durability.
