Some shows treat Friday as a warm-up night before the real numbers roll in on Saturday. SBS’s *Agent Kim Reactivated* just proved it doesn’t need that excuse anymore, setting a brand-new personal best on a night that’s traditionally been its weaker slot.

## What Happened

On July 17, episode 7 of the hit action drama scored a nationwide average rating of 21.9%, according to Nielsen Korea. That’s the show’s highest-ever Friday rating, even though Fridays have historically pulled in lower numbers than Saturdays for this series. It also keeps the drama’s streak alive as the most-watched program of any kind airing on Fridays.

## Why This Milestone Matters

Hitting a new high this late in its run, with only two weeks left, signals a show that’s building momentum rather than fading out — a rare feat for a drama entering its final stretch. It suggests strong word-of-mouth and audience investment carrying all the way through to the finish line, rather than viewers checking out early once the ending is in sight.

## The Star Behind The Numbers

Leading the charge is So Ji Sub, a veteran of Korean television known for turning genre dramas into ratings hits. He first became known for his lead roles in television dramas and films after starting out as a jeans model, and *Agent Kim Reactivated* adds another entry to a career built on exactly this kind of crowd-pulling, high-stakes storytelling.
