The wait for one of Kollywood’s most anticipated spy sequels is finally over. **Sardar 2**, starring Karthi in his much-loved double role, now has an official release date — and fans of slow-burn espionage thrillers have reason to mark their calendars.

## Mission Confirmed: September 10, 2026

The makers took to social media to make it official, captioning the announcement, “Agent Karthi arrives. Get ready for the mission of a lifetime.” It’s a fitting tagline for a film that picks up the legacy of 2022’s Sardar, which became a sleeper hit thanks to its layered storytelling and Karthi’s dual performance as Chandru and Vincent Pasupathy.

Directed by PS Mithran, Sardar 2 follows Karthi reprising his role as the mysterious Agent Sardar, also known as Chandra Bose, in what promises to be an even bigger, more intense spy saga.
