The developers of Age of Empires have revealed exciting news today, including new content for multiple games and the franchise’s milestone of reaching 60 million players globally. Age of Empires Announces PS5 Titles, New Expansions, and Updates Coming Soon
On March 4, Age of Mythology: Retold sets foot on PS5 with the Immortal Pillars expansion. It adds new maps, myth units, and gameplay features, including the Chinese pantheon. Players can now pre-order the expansion, which will be free on launch day for players who own the Premium Edition of the game. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be released on PS5 in the Spring, with content parity across all platforms and crossplay support.
This version of the game will allow a much wider audience to experience the classic hit that is currently available on the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, and Steam. In addition, two distinct Age of Empires IV DLC will arrive in 2024, with the initial edition, Knights of Cross and Rose, launching in Spring 2025.
