Bautista’s evolution from wrestling superstar to acclaimed actor spans Marvel’s *Guardians of the Galaxy* trilogy (as Drax), Denis Villeneuve’s *Dune* films, and critically praised performances in *Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery* and *Knock at the Cabin*. His physicality combined with surprising emotional depth makes him perfect for Jake’s morally complex journey.

Playing August Valentine, the tyrannical “King of England” who controls post-flare resources, Samuel L. Jackson brings his legendary presence to *Afterburn*. Valentine finances Jake’s operations while monopolizing power in the chaos.

With over 150 film credits and status as the highest-grossing actor of all time, Jackson’s range spans from Jules Winnfield in *Pulp Fiction* to Nick Fury across 11 MCU films.
