Amazon Prime Video has dropped the new teaser trailer for Sara Ali Khan’s patriotic film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’. In this film, she is playing the role of a freedom fighter. Mazon Prime Video has recently dropped the official trailer of her patriotic drama film. On Monday the first look at Sara Ali Khan’s new patriotic film has been exposed. This is the first time we are going to this Bollywood fit lady in the role of freedom fighter. The director of the film is Kannan Iyer. This is an upcoming thriller drama film that has been inspired by true events.
The brand-new Ae Watan teaser unveils Sara in a retro avatar belonging to the pre-independence era, The lady has seen sari just closed all the curtains in a room just before she has been sitting down for assembling a radio-like device. She has said, “The British feel they have curbed the quit India movement. Lekin azad awazein qaid nahi hoti. Ye hai Hinsutan ki awqaz, Hindustan me kahin se, kahin pe Hindustan mein.” At this moment, we will hear a loud banging on the door interrupting her speech and a shocked look covers her face.
The story film mainly described the journey of a college girl in Bombay who goes on to become a freedom fighter. The plot of the film has set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942 and describes the story of the courage, patriotism, sacrifice, and resourcefulness of the youth of India.
The producer Karan Johar said,” is an effort to bring to the audiences a lesser-known chapter of Indian history” of the independence struggle. “Directing this story inspired by true events from the very precarious times of India’s freedom struggle is a feeling of tremendous pride for me, and I am thankful to Prime Video and Dharmatic Entertainment for this opportunity. Ae Watan Mere Watan is going to be a tribute to the priceless contributions made by fearless heroes to India’s fight for independence. It is my first time working with Sara Ali Khan and I am excited to see how she molds herself into this character,”
After sharing her excitement to be a part of the film, Sara said,” I am so excited and Entertainment has given me the opportunity to be a part of a film that I truly deserve to be told. As an actor, and more importantly, as an Indian, I am proud to be able to portray a character that echoes bravery, strength, and courage.”
