Monaco are working to sign Adrien Rabiot from Juventus this summer. The Frenchman has only one year left on his deal with the Bianconeri. And with neither party keen on a contract extension, a sale could be on the cards.
But as of right now, talks have stalled between the two clubs for the midfielder. Personal terms have been discussed with the player’s camp, but no contact has been made with Juventus for the transfer as of yet.
Adrien Rabiot transfer on hold right now
It was recently announced that Paul Pogba had injured his knee again, and that he would be out until 2023. The news comes only weeks after he returned to Juventus after leaving Manchester United as a free agent.
As a result, there are rumours that the Old Lady has taken Adrien Rabiot off the market to cope with their new number 10’s injury. Rabiot prefers to play on the left side of midfield like Pogba, and will have to fill in for half a season at least.
For this reason, Monaco will find it difficult to sign the player and might have to make a huge offer in order to bring Rabiot back to France. However, there are other options like Denis Zakaria, Arthur, Weston McKennie and Manuel Locatelli to choose from as well. And this could prompt the club to let him go if the right offer arrives.
