Adipurush Official Release Date, Plot, Cast, and Trailer – Everything You Need to Know in 2023

Om Raut’s magnum opus Adipurush has got several mixed responses from the viewers. On the occasion of ‘Ramanavami’ we got a poster that features Prabhas as Ram, Kriti Sanan as Sita, and Sunny Singh as Laxman. On May 9, 2023, we got the official trailer. The story of Adipurush follows the mythological film ‘Adipurush’ of the Indian epic Ramayana. In comparison with the teaser, the trailer looks slightly realistic which is very good for the film.

It’s been five days that Adipurush hiy theatres across the world. The gorgeous actress Kriti Sanaon has shared the box office collection of the film for five days across the world. Within 5 days the box office collection of India’s great mythological drama is Rs. 395 Cr.

The new poster has come with the caption, “Mantron se badhke tera naam, Jai Shri Ram (Your name is greater than a mantra, Jai Shree Ram).” All the words are written in English, Hindi, and Telugu in the caption. He has also included the hashtags like Jai Shri Ram, Ram Navami, and Adipurush. The poster has got several mixed reactions from the fans while some have praised the film, and some depict hatred over the actors. 

We have already got some glimpses of what Raut has been cooking up for the years, and things are now quite safe to say that “half-finished cartoon” was not what anybody would have expected. Raut has relied heavily on the green screens in his debut feature along with the Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, and he has appeared having doubled down with aesthetic in Adipurush.  

The Ramayana has been adapted several times just before for stage. The story is about good versus evil, a tale that practically everybody in India is familiar with, and tells the story of Lord Rama who must challenge the demon king of Lanka, Ravana, and protect his wife Sita from his clutches.

In this film Saif Ali Khan plays Ravana, Keiri Sanon plays Sita, and Sunny Singh features Lakshmana Khan previously worked with Raut on Tanhaji.  Saif Ali khan as Lankesh. The Western audiences would recognize him as the Star of India’s first Netflix original series, the International Emmy has nominated crime drama Sacred Games. Prabhas feature RRR director SS Rajamouli.  

Adipurush also attempts to capture on enhancing the popularity of South Indian films. Adipurush mainly features Bollywood actors, Prabhas is a Telugu star. The cast is as wide a net as possible.  T-Series has recently shared the picture on the official Twitter page.  “Seeking divine blessings at Vaishno Devi. #Adipurush released IN THEATERS on June 16, 2023, in 3D,” 

Adipurush: Trailer Details

The most awaited trailer kicks off with Lord Hanuman who is chanting the story of Raghava the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu coming to the earth to establish ‘Dharma’ and to destroy the ‘Adharma’. The trailer beautifully depicts the major events of Ramayana. The trailer reveals a short glimpse of Said Ali Khan as Lankesh He was seen in the disguise of a sage.

He is praying in front of a large shivling, at that time as he is listening to a voice that says, ” Btahmad mein tu jo bhi paane layak hai tu pa chuka hai, fir bhi tu rakshas hi hai. Lakshmi ko paale, Narayan ho jaega.”

Adipurush Official Release Date  

The most interesting fact is Adipurush has declared that the film will arrive in theatres in 3D on 2nd June. Previously, the franchise confirmed that the film will hit on 16th June 2023. Adipurush will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.  The multilingual Hindu epic drama film revolves around, “the victory of good over evil”. The movie also drops in 3D and IMAX.  

Adipurush will come in five different languages like Hindi Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. The great thing is the trailer of Adipurush has been not only been released in India but in 70 other territories such as Canada, Australia, The US, the UK, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Russia, Egypt, and other places.

It has been declared that Adipurush will be played at Tribeca Festival in New York City on June 13.

Prabhas is very excited about this as he said, “I am honored that Adipurush will have its WQorld Premiere At The Tribeca Festival, New York. It’s an absolute privilege to be a part of a project that mirrors the ethos of our nation. To see our Indian films, especially one that is so close to me, Adipurush, reach the global stage makes me extremely proud not only as an actor but as an Indian too. In the last month, stunning Kriti talked about Adipurush with news agency PYI, “It is a  film that the entire team is extremely proud of. I hope and pray that people will also equally be proud of it. It is something that is so important to all of us. It is just not a  film for us, it is way more than that. I hope it gets due. I have a feeling it will. It is important to make these stories. It is educational for kids. I feel if I had not seen it then, today’s children would also have not seen it.”
