Bayer Leverkusen will be completing the transfer of Adam Hlozek in the coming days. Medical tests have been scheduled for the Czech Republic striker to finalise his move to the Bundesliga.
Despite interest from Sevilla, Leverkusen have won the race for the player and will be announcing their acquisition very soon, once the formalities have been completed. The transfer fee involved is around €13 million, and a 30% sell-on clause has been included as part of the deal as well.
Adam Hlozek to complete transfer to Leverkusen
The 19-year-old is an academy graduate of Sparta Prague, and scored 12 goals in 47 appearances this past season. He also provided 15 assists, which adds massively to his profile as a forward.
Adam Hlozek mainly operates as a second striker, and would be able to play alongside Patrik Schick as well. Leverkusen will not be selling their star striker this summer, and the two compatriots would be expected to build a good partnership up front.
Hlozek has earned 14 caps for the Czech national team, scoring one goal so far. The player is expected to sign a five-year contract with Bayer Leverkusen, having agreed personal terms. His arrival would facilitate the departure of Lucas Alario from the club this summer.
With a number of talented young players in their squad, Bayer Leverkusen will be expected to produce some good results in the coming years. The presence of Champions League football next season will also be a huge boost for them in developing their young players.
