The deal struck between the two clubs involves a €13 million fee, excluding add-ons. Sparta have also included a 30% sell-on clause in his contract, which means they are entitled to 30% of any future transfer fee for the player.
Hlozek has been officially unveiled ahead of the new season, and will be available for the upcoming season. This past season, he scored 12 goals and provided 15 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions.
Adam Hlozek signs for Bayer Leverkusen
“Adam Hlozek is a player who plays as a number ten and he also poses a big goal threat coming in from the wing,” stated Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes.
“His versatility, power and, above all, his finishing will provide more options in our attacking game.”
The 19-year-old is an exciting young talent, and primarily operates as a secondary striker. But, he can also play as a winger if needed. With Leverkusen ruling out a move for Patrik Schick, the two Czech Republic strikers can lead the line for the team next season.
With Florian Wirtz also at the club, Leverkusen boast a number of exciting young players among their ranks. As a result, we could be seeing an even more improved performance from them in the coming season.
