AMD Ryzen 5000U series is the next-gen processor that is giving Intel a run for their money. When Intel launched its 10th generation notebook processors, we all thought this line-up would rule the notebook division. Well, for all its faults, Intel’s 10th generation has been performing decently in the market, especially in the budget segment. But now that Ryzen 5000 has been launched, it’s time to enter the dragon.
Acer Swift SF314-43 has entered the list of devices that have adopted AMD’s latest processor. The devices will come powered by AMD’s Ryzen 5 5500U and promises increased performance than its previous versions. The CPU is a 6-core processor with 12-thread. It comes with a 2.10 GHz of base clock speed and 4.00 GHz of Boost clock speed.
The appearance of the Acer Swift SF314-43 on Geekbench reveals just how impressive AMD’s Ryzen 5 5500U is and the high-end performance of its iGPU. The iGPU of Ryzen 5 5500 has seven compute units and a maximum clock rate of 1.80 GHz. The Geekbench results indicate that the iGPU of Ryzen 5 5500 has an increase of 20% in clock rate over the Ryzen 5 4500U’s graphics-processing component.
Though the Acer swift laptop is targeted towards everyday usage and not for extreme gaming, with the power of Ryzen 5 5500’s iGPU, future owners of this Acer Swift laptop should be able to enjoy some light gaming sessions. But in terms of multi-tasking, the CPU is outstanding, and without a doubt, the APU will be a big hit in the Ryzen 4000 series.
