Acer Debuts Nitro V 16 Gaming Laptop Powered by New AMD Ryzen 8040 Series Processors

The new Nitro V laptop comes equipped with AMD Ryzen™ 8040 Series processors with in-built Ryzen™ AI technology and is complemented by NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 40 Series Laptop GPUs with DLSS 3.5. This combination ensures versatile performance, extended battery life, and AI-powered capabilities. The laptop also boasts innovative thermal features, including a dual fan system, ensuring the device remains cool even during intense gaming sessions.

James Lin, General Manager of Notebooks at Acer Inc., stated that Acer and AMD’s continued collaboration has resulted in an AI-backed gaming experience with the latest Nitro laptop. He added that the Nitro V 16, with its fast refresh rate display options, enhanced features, and comprehensive improvements, offers an exciting new AI-ready gaming laptop suitable for all types of gamers.

The Nitro V 16 stands out with its performance and efficiency, whether for gaming or work, thanks to the new AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS Processors. Furthermore, it offers extended battery life due to intelligent battery optimizations and third-generation power management features.

The laptop, running on Windows 11, provides smooth, AI-enhanced visuals on ray-traced games and applications with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPUs and DLSS 3.5 technology. More than 500 popular games and applications, including blockbuster games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Alan Wake 2, support GeForce RTX technologies. With up to 32 GB of DRR55600 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, coupled with an advanced dual-fan cooling system, the Nitro V 16 is capable of handling intensive gameplay and data transfers.

The Nitro V 16 features a 16-inch WQXGA or WUXGA display with 165 Hz refresh rates and 3 ms response times, ensuring fluid visuals with minimal ghosting and screen tearing. The laptop also includes AI-enabled features that can be utilized when streaming or video chatting, such as Acer PurifiedView™ and Acer PurifiedVoice™ 2.0, which feature three microphones with AI noise reduction technology.

The NitroSense utility app allows players to monitor device performance and temperature with a single click of the dedicated NitroSense key. The Nitro V 16 also offers a full range of peripheral and connectivity ports, including a full-function USB 4 Type C, two USB 3 ports (one of which supports offline charging), an HDMI port, a microSD card reader, and compatibility with Wi-Fi 6E.
