At Acer’s own Next@Acer, they have launched two new Intel-powered Chromebooks along with a lot of other laptops and products.
Both of these laptops work on Google’s Chrome OS and they are slight premium-end ones because of having features like 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, USB Type-C v3.1 ports for charging and faster data transfer.
Also, these Chromebooks have a sturdy metallic build with a small form factor, has Citrix certification for compatibility with a wide range of networking and cloud computing solutions, and also bears a fingerprint sensor for safe unlock.
The Acer Chromebook 714 & Chromebook 715 feature a shock-proof anodised aluminium chassis that comes with MIL-STD 810G durability certification.
Both of them are claimed to be highly durable and impact-resistant, capable of withstanding drops from a height of up to 48 inches and vertical force of up to 60kg.
Even the touchpad is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass and is claimed to be both scratch and moisture resistant. The Acer Chromebook 715 is the first ever Chromebook to feature a full-size numeric keypad and also a backlit keyboard.
