Apple reportedly exported iPhones from India for $1 billion in a single month, according to a story from earlier this month. In the fourth quarter of 2022 or the time frame from October to December, CyberMedia Research has now released data on iPhone shipments recorded by Apple.

iPhones

The report claims that Apple India shipped two million iPhones in the fourth quarter of 2022, a rise of 18% over the previous quarter. Shipments did, however, experience a 7% year-over-year fall in the fourth quarter. Additionally, in India, Apple had its best year in 2022. It achieved its highest-ever market share of 5.5 percent and saw a growth in shipments of 11 percent year over year. This is a result of regional production and marketing initiatives like rebates and installment options. Although Apple’s Q4 shipments were down YoY and QoQ from 2021 to 2022, the company nevertheless expanded in 2022.

iPhones

Compared to 2022, experts predict that Apple will sell even more gadgets(iPhones) in 2023. Supply chain issues have an influence on Apple’s business despite the increased demand for the iPhone 14 Pro models. The sales of older iPhone models, including the iPhone 13, were boosted by strong marketing and promotions as well as holiday sales.

A further goal of Apple’s has been to establish India as the center of its iPhone manufacturing. The Cupertino-based tech giant is moving toward diversifying its production outside of China because of geopolitical tensions between China and the US as well as the COVID-19-related supply chain delays. Apple is anticipated to produce 20% of its iPhones in India over the next two to three years, according to prior reports.
