AC Milan confident to reach an agreement with Zlatan Ibrahimovic regarding the contract extension

Top 5 players to miss out on Euro 2020

AC Milan’s fortunes have turned around since the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the club. The Swede became one of the first players to come back to Europe from the MLS and to think that he is among the highest scorers in Serie A this season at the age of 39 when most footballers are enjoying their retirement is absolutely crazy.

While a run at the title could be too much to hope for given their recent lack of form and the outstanding displays by their local rivals, Inter, they seem destined to get back into the Champions League next season with a top-four finish being almost deserved given the way they have made a comeback this season.

AC Milan are “confident” that an agreement will be reached soon with Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the extension of his contract.

The current one expires in two months, but AC Milan and Zlatan want to move forward together until June 2022. Ibra will be 40 y.o. in October. 🇸🇪 #ACMilan

Recognising the importance of the striker, Milan are apparently confident that they will reach an agreement with Zlatan Ibrahimovic regarding a contract extension that will see him be a part of the club till the end of the 21/22 season.

The player will turn 40 in October of this year, and to think that he is still competing in one of Europe’s top five leagues and making such a massive impact is a testament to his greatness.

He is among the fittest players in the squad despite his age and is a born leader, something that Milan clearly lacked before his arrival at the club. His performances have also seen him come out of retirement with the Sweden national team squad, making it into the shortlist of players selected for the World Cup qualifiers in the most recent international break.
