The company has entered an asset purchase agreement to acquire DeltiasGaming.com, a premier source of gaming and esports content in the United States. This strategic acquisition, valued at $900K (~INR 7.5 crores) and to be paid over several tranches, is expected to close within the next 45 days, subject to the usual closing conditions.
DeltiasGaming.com, recognized for its high-quality gaming and esports content, reported revenues of $575K (~INR 4.8 crores) for the twelve-month period ending June 2024. Absolute Sports plans to utilize its cash reserves to complete this transaction.
With this acquisition, the company is poised to deepen its footprint in the US gaming and esports media sector. The company already commands a vast gaming audience through its flagship brand, Sportskeeda.com. By integrating DeltiasGaming.com’s assets, Absolute Sports aims to tap into the platform’s loyal user base of nearly 1.5 million monthly readers and leverage its established brand equity. This move will solidify Absolute Sports’ position as a leading voice in the gaming media space.
Additionally, the acquisition opens up new avenues for reaching a broader audience through DeltiasGaming.com’s presence on YouTube and Twitch, popular platforms among gaming enthusiasts.
