A mysterious new bride arrives in a troubled household, and suddenly everything starts going right. Lucky charm or something darker? That’s the question driving **Nayyi Navelli**, and on Dussehra, plenty of viewers went to find out.

## The Tuesday Jump

The horror comedy collected an estimated **Rs 4 crore** on its first Tuesday, a **60% rise** from Monday thanks to the festival holiday. Its 5-day net total in India stands at **Rs 17.50 crore**. Figures are trade estimates, not certified collections.

## What Happens Next?

Pinkvilla expects the film to close its first week at **Rs 23-25 crore net**. A full theatrical run of **Rs 35-40 crore** looks likely based on current trends. Word of mouth has been average, and the report says a more positive reception would have helped the numbers.

## A Small Win Over Rivals

Here’s the bright spot: Pinkvilla notes that the film is performing better than Rajkummar Rao’s legal drama *Prahaar* and Yami Gautam’s previous release, *Haq*, which ended its run at a disappointing Rs 23 crore. That’s a relative win, even if it isn’t a breakout.

# What the Film Is About?

Set in Meerut, *Nayyi Navelli* follows a troubled household whose fortunes change after a mysterious new bride arrives. Her seemingly miraculous abilities bring peace and prosperity to the family. But her presence soon raises suspicions: some believe she has supernatural powers, while others suspect she could be a witch.

## Why It Matters?

The film blends humour and horror in a small-town setting, which is a formula that has worked for Hindi cinema before. Holiday boosts can only go so far, though, so the coming weekdays will show how much staying power it really has.
