In what is understood to be a collaboration between India, Israel, and the United States, there will now be setting up a secure 5G network in a developmental area – with the idea of working on more instrumental technologies that can benefit the nations in the coming years. Community leaders believe that this step is taken to instate a trilateral initiative in the development of technology, routed through Indian diplomats in the US and Israel.

USAID Deputy Administrator was quoted as saying, “Because we’ll collaborate in science and research and development in coming up with the next generations of technologies, things that the likes of you and the rest of us on the phone can’t even imagine what they might be. But by partnering by officially, affirming the importance of this relationship, we’ll advance it.”

The idea and conceptualization were partly made ease considering how Silicon Valley in the US, Tel Aviv in Israel, and Bengaluru in India have had a proven track record of being established technology hubs and among the leaders in this space. The objective as diplomats like to speak, is with the intention of progressing international development on the pursuit of building cultural relationships and leveraging common goals as well as self-reliance.

Playing key roles in setting up an open, secure, and reliable 5G network goes to show how many countries have invested in science and technology as well as research and development. Presently, 5G has not come into existence in India but there have been talks held before, previously led by Reliance in the ideation and possible ways of execution. Should the research idea of this trilateral initiative work, it could prove to be a huge success for India and that could further lead to technologists looking for a way to set up 5G in this country on a much larger-scale basis.
