A Tales of Arise Remaster might be on its way from Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco’s recent Tales of Arise online survey implies that additional series remasters may be on the way.

The survey, which can be viewed here, asks people which game they’d want to see restored. There are several entries in the series available, including the very first one, Tales of Phantasia, Tales of the Abyss, and Tales of Xillia 1 and 2.

The survey also asks which Tales games the user would like to see published in Europe. Tales of Destiny, Tales of Destiny 2, Tales of Rebirth, Tales of Legendia, which never made it to Europe officially on PlayStation 2, and Tales of Innocence, which presumably refers to the PlayStation Vita remake exclusively available in Japan, are among the selections.

With Tales of Arise’s global popularity, it’s hardly a surprise that Bandai Namco may keep the trend going with new remasters. Although the publisher has asked players for their thoughts on the topic, we are unlikely to see any of them until some time in the future.

Tales of Arise is now available globally on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One.

Being faithful while managing to innovate some of the series’ staples is Tales of Arise’s greatest achievement. Although it’s only the combat mechanics that do feel different, Bandai Namco has done a terrific job addressing some of the criticism of previous entries in the series, laying a solid groundwork for future innovations. At the end of the day, Tales of Arise may not be the best entry in the series, but it gets quite close to it.
