A lost or stolen AirTag is trash until it returns to the actual owner

Apple introduces multiple exciting products in the Apple Event held on 20th April. The products Apple has introduced are iPad Pro, new iMac, Apple TV 4K, the most awaited AirTags, purple iPhone 12, and some other services.

In case you don’t know, AirTag is a small accessory that helps you to track daily use things. You just need to attach it with your belongings and whenever you forget where you put it, just trach it from your iPhone. Apple AirTag is very small in size so that it can attach to any object. However, it’s a bit thick to put inside a wallet.

Post the launch, Apple’s senior director of sensing and connectivity, Ron Huang reveals that a lost AirTag is locked forever and cannot be used by anyone else. That means a lost or stolen AirTag is equivalent to trash to anyone who finds it. The tag can only be used when it returns to the actual owner.

Besides, it is also confirmed that Apple designed this tracking accessory to track objects only, not to track children or pets. The AirTag is part of Apple’s Find My Network and no one can unpair it with an iPhone other than the owner.
