What did Sergio Aguero say at his farewell ceremony?

“It is a very difficult moment. The decision I have taken for my health; the problem I had a month and a half ago.

We love you, Kun. 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/88dtg9xKJd

“I have been in good hands with the medical staff. I made the decision 10 days ago after doing everything possible to have some hope of playing on. I am very proud of my career. I always dreamed of a professional career since the first time I touched a ball at 5.

“I want to thank Atletico Madrid, who took a chance on me when I was 18, and Manchester City — everyone knows who I feel about City and how well they treated me there.”

What are Sergio Aguero’s accomplishments?

Aguero helped win the Europa League for Atletico Madrid in 2009/10. He went on to score over 100 goals for the Rojiblancos before joining Manchester City in 2011. In ten years at the Etihad, Sergio Aguero is Manchester City’s highest ever goalscorer.

He helped them win the Premier League for the first time in the 2011/12, scoring the dramatic goal against QPR on the final day. That moment lives on as one of the greatest of all time in the Premier League.

King Kun.

Aguero also won the English League Cup 6 times alongside the Premier League, 5 times, and won the FA Cup in 2019. He lifted the Copa America trophy with Argentina this summer, and scored a solitary goal for Barcelona in El Clasico, against Real Madrid, as his last ever goal.

The Argentinian has a statue outside the Manchester City stadium alongside the Etihad Stadium, solidifying his status as a club legend for the Sky Blues.
