PowerColor has confirmed that the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400 graphics cards that were submitted to the EEC will be released soon (Eurasian Economic Commission).
AMD is preparing at least two graphics cards, the Radeon RX 6500 XT and the Radeon RX 6400, based on its Navi 24 ‘RDNA 2’ GPU. These graphics cards are both aimed at the entry-level market. The RX 6500 XT will face off against the GeForce RTX 3050 TI and Intel ARC A380 graphics cards, while the RX 6400 will face off against the GeForce RTX 3050 and Intel ARC A350.
As per the latest listing at EEC, PowerColor would be offering at least 3 new models which include:
- AXRX 6500XT 4GBD6-DHLV2/OC (Hellbound)
- AXRX 6500XT 4GBD6-DHL/OC (Hellbound)
- AXRX 6500XT 4GBD6-DHLV2 (Hellbound)
- AXRX 6500XT 4GBD6-DHL (Hellbound)
- AXRX 6500XT 4GBD6-DHV3/OC (Fighter)
- AXRX 6500XT 4GBD6-DHV2/OC(Fighter)
- AXRX 6500XT 4GBD6-DHV2 (Fighter)
- AXRX 6400 4GBD6-DHV3 (Fighter)
- AXRX 6400 4GBD6-DHV2 (Fighter)
- AXRX 6400 4GBD6-DH (Fighter)
- AXRX 6400 LP 4GBD6-DHV3 (Figher Low Profile)
- AXRX 6400 LP 4GBD6-DHV2 (Figher Low Profile)
- AXRX 6400 LP 4GBD6-DH (Figher Low Profile)
With a dual-fan cooler with RGB LEDs and a custom PCB design, the PowerColor Radeon RX 6500 XT Hellbound would be the greatest version of the card. The Radeon RX 6400, on the other hand, will get the regular Fighter edition, which has a dual-slot and dual-fan cooler but no RGB LEDs. The Radeon RX 6400 Fighter will also be available in a low-profile variant, which makes sense given that the RX 6400 is aimed at entry-level, budget, and Mini PCs. Only the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT custom versions will get overclocked options, which is interesting.
AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT Graphics Card With Navi 24 XT GPU
The full Navi 24 XT GPU die will be used in the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT. The AMD Navi 24 GPU, codenamed ‘Beige Goby’ internally, is the smallest of the RDNA 2 lineup and will feature a single SDMA engine. The chip will have two shader arrays, totaling 8 GPS and up to 16 Compute Units. Because AMD uses 64 stream processors per compute unit, the Navi 24 GPU’s total core count is 1024, which is half of the Navi 23 GPU’s 2048 stream processors in 32 compute units.
AMD Radeon RX 6400 Graphics Card With Navi 24 XL GPU
The AMD Radeon RX 6400 is the second card in the Navi 24 RDNA 2 family, and it will be built on a slightly reduced ‘XL’ architecture with 768 cores. The card will keep its 4 GB of GDDR6 memory and run at somewhat lower clock speeds, but still in the 2.5 GHz+ range. Due to its sub-75W TDP, the RX 6400 is expected to boot without the use of any power connectors. It will be available in March, around the same time as Intel’s first ARC Alchemist GPUs are released.
