Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S series hasn’t undergone major design upgrades in recent years, aside from the integration of Galaxy AI features. Even the Ultra variants have seen minimal visual changes. The most significant occurred last year when Samsung shifted from Exynos to MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ chipset. Now that the rumour mill is hinting that the next Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset. More information has emerged from a benchmark listing on the Geekbench benchmark database.

In terms of performance, the benchmark scores were somewhat underwhelming. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 recorded 1,420 in the single-core test and 5,312 in the multi-core test. For context, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra from last year, which also used a MediaTek chip, scored significantly higher at 2,115 (single-core) and 7,058 (multi-core). These results might be due to the current unit being a prototype, which could affect performance.

It features a 14.6-inch AMOLED display with a 2960 x 1848 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a slim 5.4mm profile. With an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, it’s one of the few tablets offering such durability. It weighs 718 grams and houses an 11,200mAh battery that provides multi-day usage under light conditions.
