Lava Storm Play 5G and Storm Lite 5G Launched in India with Dimensity SoCs, Starting at ₹7,999

The Lava Storm Play 5G costs ₹9,999 for the sole 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option. The 4GB RAM + 64GB variant of the Lava Storm Lite 5G is even affordable at ₹7,999. The Storm Play 5G will be available for purchase beginning June 19 at 12 PM IST, while the Lite variant will go on sale from June 24. The Storm Play 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is based on MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC and works with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, and boots Android 15.

It is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX752 main sensor, a 2MP secondary camera, and an 8MP front shooter. It is also fitted for a single speaker and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. There is a 5,000mAh battery in the device that supports 18W wired charging via a USB Type-C port, and it is IP64 rated for dust and splash resistance. The Lava Storm Lite 5G comes equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC, paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage.

It has a 5MP front camera but otherwise carries over most specifications from the Play model, including the 6.75-inch HD+ display, 50MP rear camera, 5,000mAh battery, Android 15 OS, and IP64 rating. It also has 15W wired charging. Both phones have robust features at a budget price and attempt to provide a good 5G experience for cost-conscious buyers.
