Manchester City are currently in amazing form and have managed to keep 6 clean sheets out of their last 7 games in the Premier League, conceding only one goal against West Brom in their 1-1 draw.

Pep Guardiola has managed to drastically turn things around from the beginning of the season, with the Cityzens boasting of the best defensive record in the division, conceding only 12 goals in the league so far.

On paper, the Sky Blues seem to have massive quality in every single position on the pitch. However, one of the only positions on the pitch that can be called a drawback in the lineup is that of left-back.

Benjamin Mendy has been prone to making errors, and Zinchenko has been out of the team for a good while now. The club has hence been linked with Atletico Madrid full-back Renan Lodi to possibly fix the problem.

Speaking on the transfer rumour on their Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio said that there was currently no agreement in place between the two clubs. It will be very difficult to get the player in January since Atletico are in a very strong position in La Liga and will want to hold on to the player till the end of the season.

Much like Liverpool, Manchester City will be holding off the big-money transfers in the winter owing to the difficult financial situation across the world despite their reputation for being extremely well-equipped from the monetary side of things.

The club are currently trying to negotiate new deals with Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, who have proven to be two of their most important players in recent times. Sergio Aguero is yet to inform the club regarding his decision, and it is totally up to the player whether he wants to stay or leave.
