MSI announced its Optix G242 eSports monitor with a mouth-watering display

MSI is known for its production of gaming accessories which are the dream of many gamers. The manufacturer produces top quality products and also sponsors many eSport events held across the globe. The performance of its custom graphics is no joke and the manufacturer is a leader in the production of gaming monitors.

As such, MSI has introduced its Optix G242 eSports monitor, which offers a 144 Hz refresh rate and coverage of 127.7% of the sRGB colour gamut. The beast comes with a 1 ms response time, eliminating screen tearing and choppy frame rates. The official pricing of the monitor hasn’t been revealed yet, but we expect it to be around $189.99.

Along with the refresh rate of 144 Hz, the gaming monitor offers a panel size of 23.8″ and an aspect ratio of 16:9. It is developed for gaming setups as such comes with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080.

In terms of design, the device offers a Frameless design and features a super narrow bezel, which is ideal for a multi-monitor setup. The monitor comes with an IPS panel, which offers wide viewing angles and up to 178° viewing angles.

It supports both the DCI-P3 and sRGB color gamut and offers up to 94.6% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and support for up to 127.7% coverage of the sRGB color gamut.
