Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G renamed to Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 5G, to launch globally in 2021

The smart-looking Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G, which was announced back in September, has now been renamed to Galaxy Book Flex2 5G going forward. The convertible’s new status has been emphasized by Samsung in two newly uploaded video clips featuring the Flex2 as the star of the show.

One of the tidiest unboxing videos has been released by the South Korean OEM to introduce the Intel 11th Gen Tiger Lake-powered Galaxy Book Flex2 5G. When removed from the box, we clearly see how the Flex2 is sleek and well-designed as it fits neatly into the user’s hand. The quick-start guide of the convertible comes in an envelope, and we get a brief look at the machine in action.

The second video is more of a “how-to” and it focuses on the world-facing camera which is 13 MP and is built into Flex2’s deck. Users can rapidly edit their photos and then share the results with friends with the help of the built-in S Pen.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 5G has a 13.3-inch display with full High-Definition resolution including touch support. The 11th gen Intel Core CPU of the laptop comes with a 512GB SSD and up to 16GB RAM and a 69.7WHr battery. In terms of connectivity, it comes with USB Type-C ports, 3.5mm headphone jack, HDMI port, and MicroSD Card slot. It has Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 5.1, for wireless connectivity. For biometric authentication there is also a fingerprint reader.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 5G laptop is already on sale in the home country of the company, South Korea, with prices around 2,370,000 won (US$2,154) (₹1,58,956) for an i5 variant packaged with Galaxy Buds Live and 3,000,000 won (US$2,727) (₹2,01,180) for an i7 model with the earbuds. The new range of Samsung laptops is about to go live globally in 2021.
