In the glittering world of Bollywood and business, some friendships shine brighter than the most expensive luxury cars. The recent gift of a lilac Lamborghini worth ₹4 crore from Ananya Birla to her close friend Janhvi Kapoor is more than just a display of opulence—it’s a testament to a remarkable bond between two extraordinary young women who are redefining success on their own terms.

Who is Ananya Birla?

A Multifaceted Powerhouse

Ananya Birla is not just another billionaire’s daughter. She is a force of nature who has carved her own path in the worlds of business, music, and social entrepreneurship. As the eldest child of industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla, she could have easily rested on her family’s laurels. Instead, she chose to create her own legacy.

Business Brilliance

At just 17, Ananya founded Svatantra Microfinance, an organization dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs in rural India. Her entrepreneurial journey has been nothing short of remarkable, with her microfinance company becoming the second-largest in India after a significant acquisition.

Musical Maverick

Beyond business, Ananya is an accomplished singer who has made history in the music industry. She became the first Indian artist to receive platinum certification for an English-language track, collaborating with international artists like Sean Kingston and Afrojack. Her musical journey began in 2016 with the single “Livin’ the Life,” and she has since accumulated over 350 million streams.

The Lamborghini Surprise: A Friendship Defined by Generosity

The recent gift of a lilac Lamborghini to Janhvi Kapoor is more than just a luxurious gesture. It symbolizes a deep, meaningful friendship that goes beyond the glitz and glamour of Bollywood and business circles. The car, estimated between ₹4 and ₹4.99 crore, was delivered to Janhvi’s Mumbai residence with a gift box tagged “With love etc. Ananya Birla.”

Janhvi Kapoor: A Rising Star

While Ananya has been making waves in business and music, her best friend Janhvi Kapoor has been creating her own path in Bollywood. Her recent film “Homebound” has been selected for the prestigious Un Certain Regard section at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, marking a significant milestone in her acting career.
