Apple’s M1 series Macs are performing incredibly well in the market, especially in the performance and battery section. Hence developers are working to get their apps run natively on Apple’s new platform.
We have already seen the likes of Microsoft Office being natively available for M1 silicon. And recently, Zoom is also set to release its app for the platform. According to recent sources, Adobe will launch its native support for M1 Macs for all features in several phases.
The first release included in the public beta release will include core editing features and workflows like graphics, colour, audio, along with the addition of Production and Multicam. Support for the most frequently used codecs like H.264, HEVC, and ProRes is also part of the phase.
The developer stated that beta testers first need to upgrade their project files to make them compatible with the new captions workflow. Adobe has even addressed a list of known issues in the initial build of the platforms. There isn’t much time before adobe decides to launch its native product for the M1 platform.
As such, the developer must decide to support third-party integration of plugins, panels, and other stuff. The new beta update of Adobe Premiere, Premiere Rush, and Audition is available for developers and public beta testers. As to when the stable update gets release is yet to be known. Till then, stay tuned.
