Instagram from Facebook is one of the most popular social media platform. This is similar to Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger and Twitter apps where you can share photos, videos, documents, and others. These apps are available in respective play stores for IOS and Android. These original apps have huge sizes ranging all over 50MB from 200MB, that sometimes puts some pressure on the device with lower storage capacity. So Facebook has already introduced Lite versions of these apps: Twitter, Messenger and Facebook where users can use most of the features in a smaller app size. These Lite apps always ranges from 2MB to 10MB which is very good for saving space while enjoying the same experience of social app.
Facebook has now finally introduced one of the most awaited Instagram Lite app which is available in Google Play Store in India. This Lite version is limited for Android users as for now and the Instagram Lite app is also limited to India and it is available in multiple local languages including Bangla, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The previously launched Instagram Lite app was discontinued in May due to some unstated issues. Whereas, the new app is just 2MB and it ditches some features from the original app like Reels, Shopping, and IGTV for a faster and even cleaner experience. If you do not like any of the above mentioned features then this Lite version is for you.
