Augmented reality is one of the concepts spoken most passionately in the tech industry. And Google is no stranger to this concept. It has already dipped its hands in developing many gadgets offering AR and its ideas. As such, the company has announced its next thing in the field.
According to sources, Google has added 50 new augmented reality animals to Search, which can be extremely cute. The company has added various animals, including the red panda and cat; we have a giraffe, cow, zebra, pig, and hippo among the new creatures you can welcome virtually into your home.
I have to say that some of the animals added in the AR feature and the actions they perform are extremely cute. However, there are some animals that I find disturbing. I mean, look at that big dog in the image below. I, for one, don’t want to see that dog in my AR nor reality. Judge me all you want, but I’m not signing up for this.
Users need to search for an animal on Google’s mobile app and tap “view in 3D” among the results. Google started putting 3D animals in Search last year, and it only had a few standard animals available, like a tiger, a lion, a wolf, and a dog. But it slowly started adding more creatures in March, including animals like alligators, ducks, and hedgehogs. The company started to add prehistoric creatures starting from the month of August and historical artifacts via its Arts and Culture app.
