Esports at the 2026 Asian Games: A Growing Platform

Esports made its debut as a demonstration sport in the 2018 Asian Games and became an official medal event in 2022 at Hangzhou. In that edition, India participated in four out of the seven featured games—League of Legends, DOTA 2, EAFC, and Street Fighter V—with League of Legends reaching the quarterfinals.
