OPPO Find N5 Teased as World’s Thinnest Foldable at ₹1,45,000

OPPO has begun teasing key aspects of its upcoming Find N5 foldable smartphone, which has recently surfaced in leaked live images. The phone is claimed to be the thinnest foldable flagship: it might just beat the Honor Magic V3 that was announced last year. OPPO Find series product manager Zhou Yibao took to Weibo to post pictures of the Find N5, even comparing the foldable phone’s slim dimensions to those of multiple objects.

The Find N5 is in the hands of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, with four stacked bank cards, and two 1Yuan coins in the image, showing a thin design. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, for context, measures 8.3mm thick and although the Find N5 looks thinner, the comparison was probably made with the Find N5 unfolded. Yibao clarified that the phone’s thinness is limited not by design but by the charging port’s constraints.

For reference, the Find N3 measures 5.8mm when unfolded and 11.7mm when folded, while the Honor Magic V3, currently the slimmest foldable, measures 4.4mm and 9.4mm in its unfolded and folded states, respectively. The exact thickness of the Find N5, however, remains undisclosed. OPPO has also confirmed that the Find N5 will feature IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance ratings, allowing for underwater photography. However, the brand cautions against submerging the device for more than 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Find N5’s China variant, with model number PKH110, has been spotted on Geekbench, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, and running Android 15. The device achieved scores of 3,083 and 8,865 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Globally, the Find N5 will launch as a rebranded OnePlus Open 2. Its predecessor, the Find N3/OnePlus Open, debuted at a starting price of CNY 9,999 (~₹1,45,395) or ₹1,39,999 in their respective markets.
